Summer may be over but a peach blush is always a good idea! That healthy flush makes a statement without going overboard. It looks beautiful whether you’re morena or mestiza! It looks good alone for a quick drugstore run or with a full make-up look for a Friday night out with the barkada. This is also perfect for low-maintenance girls – whether you’re a student or just lazy (like me!). These 4 trustworthy drugstore choices are easy on the eyes and the pocket!
Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso (Stuff in Style, P420)
Luminoso is everybody’s favorite peachy pink blush, a must-have for your top shelf – and for good reason! This is my most abused blush from my collection! Dust it on the apples of your cheeks for a a subtle, iridescent glow, which easily gives off a *lit from within* look. This looks so natural, perfect for those intimidated by bold colored blushes. Best of all, it lasts the entire day!
Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush in Apri-cot in the Middle (Watsons, P299/Your Make Up Store, P249)
The most unique from the bunch is Wet n Wild’s Apri-cot in the Middle; it’s also the most shimmery. It has noticeable gold specks that gives a bold sheen, which looks gorgeous when the sunlight hits your face! It almost looks like a highlight. If you have problematic skin and have texture on your face – acne, huge pores – you may want to forego this product because it will accentuate it. The infamous Icon Blushes are a must-try and definitely worth the trip to the drugstore!
City Color Rosy Cheeks Blush in Fall Sunflower (Watsons, P249)
The Rosy Cheeks Blushes from City Color are reminiscent of Milani’s Rose Powder Blushes but cheaper! They are so pretty! Fall Sunflower is the most pigmented among the 4 recommendations, you will need a light hand! This deep color is also the most favorable for those with a darker complexion.
Ever Bilena Single Blush-on in Amethyst (Watsons, P110)
If you’re on a student budget or just really want an affordable gem from the drugstore, Ever Bilena’s Amethyst is a steal! Use it for that subtle flush on the cheeks – perfect for beginners. Keep it simple or build it up for an intense pop of color!
